Yesterday as I was reading bits and pieces from Nouwen's meditation on dying and caring, one sentence which he wrote that struck me was this:
"A flyer must fly, and a catcher must catch, and the flyer must trust, with outstretched arms, that his catcher will be there for him."
Those were not his words, those were the words of Rodleigh, a trapeze artist who performed in the German circus Simoneit-Barum.
Simple words but words filled with food for thought.
